Coach Nicholas Barte
Coach Barte begins his 4th year at Fern Creek High School and 2nd as head coach. Prior to coming to Fern Creek, Coach Barte was an assistant at Madison Central High School in Richmond, Kentucky where his last season the Indians were 11th region champions. Barte is a 2002 Graduate of Grandview Heights High School in Columbus, Ohio where has recently been inducted into their athletics Hall of Fame. Coach Barte was an 11 time varsity letter winner in baseball, wrestling, football and golf. During his senior season he was name All State in both Wrestling and Baseball and named the Central Ohio Player of the Year. After GHHS, Coach Barte attended Eastern Kentucky University on a baseball scholarship. At EKU, Coach Barte was a 4 year starter and graduated with a Bachelors in Mathematics Teaching. Currently Coach Barte lives in Fern Creek and teaches Geometry at Fern Creek High School.
