Meet your Principal

Rebecca Nicolas’s journey as an educator began at Centre College, in Danville, KY, where she received her bachelor’s degree in English and her certification in Secondary Education in 1997. She continued her education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and received her master’s degree in English before returning to Kentucky to teach English at Ballard High School and Doss High School. In 2005, she became an assistant principal at Doss High School, and in 2008 she received her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Spalding University. She came to Fern Creek in 2010 and was an assistant principal here until the summer of 2018, when she became principal. She is so excited to continue her work with her Fern Creek Family and knows how incredibly lucky she is to work with such talented staff and students. Her goal for Fern Creek is to ensure that “all means all” and to keep the Creek rising!
